It was a packed night of racing Saturday night with four classes of racing ready for fans at the Plymouth Motor Speedway.

The Super Streets Feature saw Ron Wilkes (Lowell, Indiana) as the winner, but he had to battle Jerrad Krick (Earl Park, Indiana) for track position. Krick had the lead early but was side-by-side with Wilkes by lap 8. Wilkes took over the lead coming out of turn four and stayed there through the rest of the race. Kody Conner started seventh and found himself in the third position on lap 9 when he got by James Williams in the backstretch. Conner took over the second spot following a late-race caution. Krick came back to challenge Conner for the second spot, but could not overtake the position. Conner finished second while Krick finished third.

Wilkes said, “Hats off to Krick and Conner because when you get to race these two it’s fun. This is my first win of the year!”

In the Thunder Stocks Feature, Jacob Kolwyck (Griffith, Indiana) jumped to the lead after starting second. Wade Clemmons (Hobart, Indiana) moved up a spot to third after getting by Lee Hall (Oxford,Indiana) at the beginning of the race. Hall worked on the inside of Clemmons for the second spot by lap 4 and got it. Hall then set his sights on Kolwyck for the lead. Hall was able to pass Kolwyck at the start/finish line on lap 8. Hall was able to get a good lead on the field when Kolwyck spun in turn one bringing out the caution on lap 14. Kolwyck had such a strong car that he was able to rebound from the caution to finish in the third spot. Clemmons bounced around the lineup throughout the race, but he was able to race his way into the second spot by the time the checkered flag flew. Hall came away with the win.

“These guys are great competitors!” commented Hall. “I worked on the outside of Jacob and was running hard!

“I have to thank my wife for everything she does. She tells me if the car is good or not (laughs).”

The Front Wheel Drives Feature was shortened due to a high number of cautions and weather coming into the area. Jacob Beard took the lead early in the race but got high out of turn 2, hit the fence and flipped over a couple of times. The red flag was displayed and Beard was checked by the ambulance crew and was not injured badly. Nick Jenema (Grand Rapids, Michigan) was able to get to the lead after the race resumed with Josh Lank, Jr. (Delphi, Indiana) in second but multiple cautions created a short race. Aaron Tatman got loose at the start/finish line on lap 6 and brought out the caution for the last incident of the race. That moved Josh Lank into the third position and the race ended.

Dylan Woodling was out front in the 600 Non-Wing Sprints race until he unexpectedly left the track on lap 14. Trey Johnson (Warsaw, Indiana) was able to get into the second position from that point and had to fend off Chad Hartzell (Granger, Indiana) for the win. Nick Schaefer, who started seventh, finished the race in the third position. The race went quickly with two quick cautions.

Prior to the end of the race, raindrops started falling and then heavy rain entered the area. All fans were able to exit the track prior to the heavy rainfall.

Racing is back at Plymouth Motor Speedway Saturday, June 26 with the UMP Modifieds, Super Streets, Thunder Stocks, and Front Wheel Drives. The gates open at 4 p.m., with hot laps at 5:30 p.m. and racing at 6:30 p.m. ET
